During our recent adventure in Colorado, we made a pit stop at the Highland Tavern in Denver, all thanks to a fantastic recommendation from Diners Drive-Ins & Dives. Let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem in a charming neighborhood. The staff here couldn’t be more friendly, and the open seating arrangement allowed us to catch all the action on the multiple TVs scattered around the room. Now, let’s talk about those legendary homemade Tater Tots, shall we? Some skeptics might question their authenticity, but I can vouch for them – they are indeed made right here on the premises.

Wow, folks, let me tell you, this place serves up one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. And those tots? They’re like little cylinders of shredded hash browns, and they’re pure perfection. I’m already planning my next visit to sample some of their delicious sandwiches. We saw Highland Tavern on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and we simply had to go. Our entire family, a group of six, had a fantastic time, and the food was out of this world! The Tater Tots are an absolute must-try – they are seriously amazing! We all ordered different things, from sandwiches to wings and burgers, and every single dish was a hit. The service was top-notch too!

Our decision to visit Highland Tavern was inspired by its feature on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and let me tell you, we’re delighted that we did! We couldn’t resist trying their Bombshell burger with a delicious egg on top, and it was outstanding. The special Tots were equally fantastic. We also indulged in their Reuben sandwich and coleslaw, and they didn’t disappoint. From the outside, the Tavern may not seem like much, but once you step in, you’re in for a pleasant surprise. It’s nestled in a charming neighborhood where you can dine like a local. Plus, they have a well-stocked bar. Our server, Britt, was not only friendly but also super helpful!

The service here is exceptional, and the drinks are poured generously! Taking a chance on this place turned out to be a great decision. The waitress and bartender were both incredibly kind to us. I ordered the Reuben, and it was spot on, especially with that delightful sauerkraut. My husband went for the Dr Pepper ribs, and they struck the perfect balance between smoky and sweet.
